美國食品藥物管理局（FDA）正式核准「女性威而鋼」Addyi，預計於今年10月17日上市，衛福部食品藥物管理署表示，目前台灣並無任何一款刺激女性性慾藥物，該署也尚未收到美國藥廠申請藥證，若接獲申請，最快也要1年審查流程才能上市。

這款粉紅色小藥丸flibanserin的製藥廠為美國Sprout Pharmaceuticals，藥廠將商品取為「Addyi」，成為美國FDA首度核准的促進女性性慾上市藥物。

食藥署藥品組科長王博譽表示，目前僅3款男性壯陽藥物在國內獲藥物許可證可在市面流通，包括威而鋼、犀利士、樂威壯，3款藥物分屬3家製藥廠提出申請，並沒有刺激女性性慾的藥物。

王博譽表示，國內審查藥物主要就是評估效益及風險兩大面向，若效益大於風險才能核准上市，風險太高則無法通過核准。

「女性威而鋼」若要進入台灣，王博譽說該署可能會將這類藥物列為「管制藥品」，不但分級管理，對於產品進出數量每年都必須照實登記，且只能在醫師開立處方下才能獲得。

鄭醫師補充:

這跟男性威而鋼的的機轉完全不同，男性威而鋼是心血管用藥的意外，而女性威而鋼原本是是廠商用來研發抗憂鬱劑，非荷爾蒙製劑，但無抗憂鬱效果:

顯然男性和性女對於性的滿足點是不同的，因此男性的性衝動或者性滿足被戲稱為下半身思考。

主要作用於血清素和多巴胺系統上:

之前臨床測試發現服用這類藥物的女性，每個月對於房事滿意次數是從2.8上升到4.8次，不過有趣的事，安慰劑組的受試對象，是從2.7增加到3.7次，兩組相比，用藥組和安慰劑組相比，一個月多不到一次，此即藥之「療效」，實在很難讓人信服:

而且，有的人藥效產生得在服用四周才能達到:

藥的副作用大多是輕微到中度，主要的反應是頭暈、噁心、疲勞、倦怠和失眠:

2010年FDA否決此藥的上市，稍後廠商也一度聲明放棄此藥的上市計劃:
